Giulia was born in Switzerland of Italian parents and holds a Law degree, specializing in Law and Accounting from the London School of Economics.  As a self-confessed globe trotter, she has lived in China, England and most recently Norway, where she worked as a Project Coordinator at the Ethical Trading Initiative (IEH) and a freelance CSR consultant since 2013.  Her previous experience includes teaching English at Wuhan University in China and working as a trainee at the European Union Delegation to China and Mongolia in Beijing.

Giulia can read 500 times faster than the average person so she’s already moved on to the next page.

Janine grew up in Switzerland and South Africa.  She earned a degree in Marketing from AUT University in Auckland, New Zealand and worked on many exciting projects within the marketing and communication fields.  Janine launched her career as part of the marketing team for the New Zealand Olympic team competing in London 2012.  For the past three years, she worked as the Marketing and Communications Manager at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Zurich Airport.   Janine moved to Oslo in July 2015 after getting engaged to her Norwegian fiancé.  She nows works in the Scandinavian tourism industry and serves as a board member of the South African Society in Norway.

Janine thinks she is related to Roger Federer.

Lo, half British half Norwegian, was born on the Isle of Wight in the UK where she lived until her formative years.  She studied Social Sciences at Southampton University and qualified as an Occupational Therapist at Cardiff University.  Lo has extensive work experience with social projects, including working with the homeless and survivors of domestic violence.  She has a passion for travel and culture which has taken her to many different countries, including South Korea to teach English.  Later, her travels brought her to Oslo.  Lo is currently volunteering at Rønningen Folkhøgskole.

In a previous life, Lo was a drummer in a ska punk band…. drumroll please.

Tara was born in the United States and grew up outside of Washington, DC in the state of Maryland.  She studied Sociology and French at Mount Saint Mary’s University and received a Masters degree in Public Anthropology at The American University.  Tara started her career as a juvenile residential counselor.  For the past ten years, she worked for the US Federal Government supporting disaster relief efforts and small business development.  She relocated to Norway to experience a different culture with her family, which includes two cats named Mango and Kona.

Tara attended L’Academie de Cuisine and her croissants are trés bons.
